Tuesday, June 2, 2015Mark Pierce was driving in a car with two passengers on Leavesley Road when for unkown reasons the car veered off the roadway and hit a utility pole. Two of the people were taken to a hospital, Pierce and a female passenger. The male passenger was treated at the scene. The female passenger is expected to survive, but Pierce succumbed to his injuries upon reaching the hospital. The accident is still under investigation.

Tuesday, February 3, 2015Around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday night, Gilroy police responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident in the 6300 block of Miller Avenue. They discovered a GMC Yukon SUV that had struck a tree with a driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, unconscious and majorly injured. Paramedics were unsucessful in their attempts to revive him, and he was declared dead at the scene.
